There was a bit of a flurry a couple months back when a newly-discovered test vinyl of a mythic, long-lost album by English electronic music pioneer Aphex Twin showed up mysteriously on Discogs with the auction price of $13,500. And now, to help raise money to buy back that original vinyl, Twin's label Rephlex have sanctioned the release of MP3s from the record—they've set up a Kickstarter where you can purchase the album and donate funds. Recorded under the moniker Caustic Window and meant to be released in 1994, a stream has also shown up on YouTube: it's such a welcome treat to have a surprise new window into Richard D. James' period of creative peak.
