FADER PREMIERE

The vitamin D rush you get from even the briefest exposure to some summer sun is powerful stuff, enough to shoo away the aches and pains of everyday living for a few. Which is why, every year, we usher in a new flock of songs that are the sonic equivalent of cracking open a cold beer on a blazing day. JUCE are a new London trio (Chalin does the vocals, Cherish is on bass and Georgia on keys) signed to Island Records who have the summer jam game on lock with their new funked-up, soul-pop single "Burning Up." My city is burning up, burning up, burning like the summer sun, sings Chalin about those handful of sunshine-filled days the UK's capital is blessed with. It's a little bit Brand New Heavies and that is allllll good with me. Fun fact: Chalin used to do all the techy stuff at Boiler Room in London back in the day, so there you go.
