After a very long and public break-up with Universal, Azealia Banks is finally on the road to getting her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste out of limbo and into her fans' ears this summer. Out now in New Zealand and on July 29th for the rest of the world, "Heavy Metal and Reflective" is a snippet of what's to come on the LP as well as the inaugural single on Azealia Banks Records, and feels like the rapper just warming up for a fight. Lil Internet's production is as brash and siren-fuelled as ever, but things stay more low-slung than Banks' frenetic recent efforts, showing off how totally dazzling and how much of a threat she can be when she keeps things to a deceptively minimal flow.
