Listen to Both Sides of Woods’ Bassist Kevin Morby’s New 7-Inch

Stream two new ones from the folk songwriter.

Whether it's on the two lovably scrappy records he made with Cassie Ramone as The Babies, or on his hazy first solo effort—last year's Harlem River—listening to Kevin Morby is an easy thing to do. The songwriter is from Kansas, lives in California, and spent a lot of time in the Brooklyn DIY scene as a member of the (long-running, consistently great) psych band Woods. Next week, Suicide Squeeze is putting out his new 7-inch single, featuring two charming classic-sounding numbers: "My Name," which sounds like it was recorded in a cave by the beach, and "We Did It All Wrong," a gently layered, lullaby-like instrumental. As of today, you can stream both of 'em.
