Nicki Minaj's second single "Anaconda" slithered onto the web last week in the form of a crunchy leak, then an unsanctioned stream, and finally a CDQ available for purchase on iTunes. The actual track is as buoyant and cartoonish as the artwork: a flip of Sir Mix-A-Lot's '90s classic "Baby Got Back," a far cry from the arena-pop of "Pills N' Potions." Nicki is thick in Pink Print promo, speaking to Hot 97 this morning about the single and her "Flawless" remix, as well as teasing a short clip of the "Anaconda" video featuring Nick and her flock of tropical birds scantily-clad in an amazonian rap fantasy. We can only hope the full video is an elaborate homage to the classic 1997 Jennifer Lopez film of the same name. Nicki's clearly got the assets to play the part.
UPDATE: She's just released a few more stills from the video, and we've added them below (via MTV).
