Minnesota supergroup thestand4rd release the soothing new single.

August 21, 2014

thestand4rd has a thing for funny names. Besides its members employing monikers as bugged as "Spooky Black" and "Bobby Raps," the St. Paul, MN-based crew switched up the stylizing of their own umbrella, and celebrated yesterday by releasing a warm, fuzzy R&B posse cut with a title like a 3am text. The much beloved and misunderstood teenaged Spooky delivers a ghostly hook on top of joyful funk, while Bobby and Allan both lament being forced to choose between music and love. Think Dungeon Family meets Jodeci, run through the frigid woods of Minnesota. Spook and Allan snuck in a new video today, too, if you want seconds.
