Flying Lotus checked into Gilles Peterson's BBC 6 Music show yesterday afternoon to shoot the breeze about his new album for Warp, You're Dead!, and to give the exclusive first play of one of the tracks. "Moment of Hesitation" features the actual Herbie Hancock as well as Steve Ellison's long-time collaborator Thundercat, marrying a flurry of horns and cymbal crashes with a frantic bassline for what's a very FlyLo take on jazz. "It's mostly a jazz record, still," Ellison told the Worldwide DJ of the LP's evolution, "but it was gonna be super traditional, by-the-book in its original incarnation." You can listen to the interview in full below, and stream the track from around the 01.11 mark here.
