You Won’t Be Able to Get This New Redinho Jam off Your Mind

See out the summer “Get You Off My Mind,” another slice of infectious funk from Numbers’ secret weapon.

Redinho is the secret weapon that UK dance label Numbers have had up their sleeve for a few years now, and he's finally sharing his self-titled debut with the world this September 22. A few weeks back he unleashed "Playing With Fire," and this week he follows it up with "Get You Off My Mind" featuring US vocalist Brendan Reilly. Reilly's vocal brings the lovesick jam close to being the most accessible thing the London producer has ever turned his hand to, but it's still got Redinho's signature weird streak in those metallic and pitch-shifted backing vocals and the scratches that pull the whole thing apart around the 4.30 mark. It's funk so loveable you could play it to your mum, but definitely doesn't play it safe.
