Kendrick Lamar Rips Apart Jeezy’s “Holy Ghost”

Kendrick Lamar hops on Jeezy’s “Holy Ghost” as his latest album, “Seen It All,” was just released.

Yesterday, Jeezy released his fifth major label album Seen It All, and trumped up some more buzz today with a new Kendrick Lamar verse laid over album cut "Holy Ghost." Though both occupy different musical spaces, there's a certain strain of of street life examination that runs throughout both Jeezy's decade plus career and Kendrick's acclaimed, hyper-focused debut. Kendrick starts out in "Backseat Freestyle"-esque peak shit-talking form, and slowly wilts toward K. Dot in the last few lines: a good kid admitting that he might not be fully confident in his own exaggerated boasts.
