Arca Might Have Dropped a New Arca Song

And we hope it’s a sign of more to come.

September 04, 2014

Ever since he dropped his pretty mind-blowing &&&&& mixtape last year, it's been pretty much radio silence from Caracas-born producer and Yeezus collaborator Arca. Sure, we've all luxuriated in the elastic-sounding instrumentals he contributed to FKA Twigs' second EP, but he hasn't given so much as a single interview, nor given any indication of new solo material on the way. To judge from the one-minute-twenty-second clip he just uploaded to YouTube, however, there may be something in the works. No concrete information just yet as what this is or where it comes from, but the tender, meandering piano chords sound kind of like a soft-focus mirror image of the keys we hear on &&&&&, and the wispy, Pegasus-like creature that appears in the video sure looks like something that could have been dreamed up by longtime visual collaborator Jesse Kanda (remember that Trauma sequence with the voguing baby creatures?). Read Arca's Gen F profile here, and catch him on tour with Kanda and Total Freedom at select North American cities below.
