Listen to Megafortress’ Hymn for Humanity, “Live in Grace”

The Brooklyn-based artist delivers a breathtaking first single from his forthcoming debut album Believer.

Sounding like it was recorded with his lips pressed close to the cold metal of his microphone, Brooklyn-based artist Bill Gillim—who has previously released otherworldly music as Megafortress on Oneohtrix Point Never's Software label—sings of forgiveness in the kind of strong, round tone that makes you lean against a wall a while and wonder about the world. Climb if you wanna / Baby, it's the same as falling down, Gillim continues, calling out above the richest reverberations of some earthy, organ-like synth. It's a hymn for humanity—wise words for a starry-eyed generation—and will feature on his forthcoming debut album Believer, which is out November 4th via Driftless Recordings (pre-order it here).
