Mac Miller, Mac DeMarco & Their Mothers

Jimmy Kimmell has a really good segment called "Words from your Mother," where he gets rappers' mothers to read their sons' lyrics aloud. For the newest edition he got the mom of one-time FADER cover star Mac Miller to appear. In other Mac-related mom news, velvet-voiced goofball Mac DeMarco announced today that his own mother, Agnes, will be joining him on his upcoming three-country appearance at the traveling St. Jerome's Laneway Festival. Hopefully he puts HER on his shoulders when he signs "Still Together," at least once.

The New York Times Eulogizes "Adulthood" in American Culture

He weaves notes about the popularity of YA fiction amongst adult reader, shows like "Girls" and "Broad City," and a bunch of other tidbits into a thought-provoking, complicated piece which you can read online in its entirety right now."Maybe nobody grows up anymore, but everyone gets older," Scott writes. "What happens to the boy rebels when the dream of perpetual childhood fades and the traditional prerogatives of manhood are unavailable? There are two options: they become irrelevant or they turn into Louis CK."
