Software has just bestowed another blessing upon us in the form of Brooklyn opera singer and multi-instrumentalist GABI and her new single/video, “Koo Koo.” The song, produced by Oneohtrix Point Never and R+7 producer Paul Corley, is strangely unsettling and holy in the best way possible. It’s that song you hear playing in the background when you step into a ring of light piercing through clouds or when the waiter finally brings you your food at a restaurant. This vocal-centric track takes on an ominous yet hypnotic quality you can feel all the way to your bones as the artist coos, I wait for you. The music video takes on the single's unsettling holiness, which features five replicas of the singer looking both angelic and lost as they flutter in, out, and around a rather simple bedroom.
