Flying Lotus provides the cool, cosmic score for a new short film by Aitor Throup, which premiered today on NOWNESS. The seven-act "video portrait" follows the British artist-slash-fashion designer as he creates one of his signature black mesh mannequins from Swedish Girl With the Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace's form. As Throup explains, “The film not only depicts a three-dimensional portrait of Rapace being intricately sculpted but also acts as a portrait of her by acting as a metaphor for the various chronological steps in the actor's process.” The soundtrack was hemmed from six previously unreleased Flying Lotus tracks. Flying Lotus' new album, You're Dead! drops on October 7th on Warp.
