Get Familiar with Sködia’s Loose, Cozy Minimalism

The most comfortable kind of cool.

September 30, 2014

Make sure to bookmark Sködia, a new NYC by-way-of Melbourne label that has the minimalist pieces you'll wear forever down pat. Produced primarily in New York by designer Jess McKie (except for some of the wool pieces which are, adorably, knitted by her mother back in Australia), McKie's latest lookbook showcases a range of unisex looks in utilitarian fabrics hued in navy, heather grey, tan, and white. Despite its dual citizenship, Sködia has a sense of everywhereness that's highly appealing: the clothes could be Norwegian, Belgian, French. We have our eyes on the oversize varsity jackets, comfiest-looking sweatpants, and her spot-on all-white winter looks. Right now you can cop the line on McKie's site and at Opening Ceremony in NY and LA, but we have a feeling it'll be everywhere soon enough. Winter is coming no matter what, so flip through Sködia's lookbook below and start to get a lil' excited.
