Last night, Sonos and ourselves collaborated to present the latest edition of Sonos Studio at the Neuhaus Hotel in NYC. The evening opened with an intimate dinner with Best Coast, whose singer and rhythm guitarist Bethany Cosentino's home we recently had the privilege of touring for our At Home With series. Afterwards, the crowd funneled downstairs to sit amongst the space’s carefully curated décor, set with crystal-clear Sonos speakers in every corner, and get primed for the performances with an open bar. Taking the stage, the group played a stripped-down set for the first time ever at a perfectly Californian pace, strumming through stoney pop gems like "Crazy For You," "Goodbye," and "Boyfriend," finding Cosentino adding some vocal flourishes that deviated nicely from the band's recorded material. Afterwards, some of the crowd moved upstairs to see an audiovisual performance titled "Ancient Chaos," put together by Blood Orange's Dev Hynes and design group The Principals.
