You can now call Snoop Dogg a Silicon Valley investor. The Independent reported today that the rapper is among several notable personalities—including actor Jared Leto and Pay Pal cofounder Peter Thiel—who are funding news website Reddit. The company, which allows users to vote on the most important stories, fetched $50 million from the financing that will be used to hire more staff and expand its mobile brand. The ubiquitous Snoop, who recently gave props to FKA Twigs, had already been part of Reddit's community with his own thread 'I'm Snoop Lion! Ask me anything!!' As of Wednesday afternoon, news of his latest investment has already made it to the Top 20 on Reddit's homepage. For a stroll down memory lane before his new foray into the tech industry, check out our interview with the man himself from two years ago.
