This past summer, Charli XCX shared the uncharacteristically rocking yet catchy “Break the Rules,” the first track off of her upcoming album Sucker. The young British singer continues in that rock-oriented direction with a new song “London Queen." If that track seems to recall something from '70s punk, you're right on the money—Charli described it to Rolling Stone as “future Ramones," adding: "That's something that I would never usually do, take a song that's basically almost been written for me, but it was a song that [collaborator] Justin [Raisen] made, and I was like, fuck, this song is so good and it feels like it's about me." Meanwhile, the “Boom Clap” star is on her US tour that will include a stop this Tuesday night at New York's Webster Hall. Sucker, which was originally slated to be released this month, will now come out on December 16th.
