Imagine Lorde, Pharrell and Sam Smith on the same song. Now stop imagining because, in a Band Aid move, they have got together to record a charity single—a cover version of the Beach Boys' classic “God Only Knows”—to kick off BBC Music's launch, The Guardian reports. (The BBC did a similar undertaking 17 years ago when an all-star cast performed Lou Reed's “Perfect Day”). And they're not the only stars on the single—this new rendition also features the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson (who, of course, co-wrote the song), Coldplay's Chris Martin, Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, One Direction, Elton John, Florence Welch, Queen's Brian May, Stevie Wonder, Jake Bugg, and Kylie Minogue among many others. The new single is accompanied by a lush and whimsical video that shows Pharrell crooning in an elegant suit, Lorde sporting angel wings, and Smith sitting in the clouds—you can watch the dreamy clip above. Proceeds from the song's sales will to go the BBC's Children in Need campaign.
