OG Maco only has a handful of cuts under his belt, but his voice is already impossible to miss, whether it's the deeper register he hits while rhyming or the high-pitched adlibs that made "U Guessed It" so great. So it's no small feat that on "Top Shelf," San Fransisco rapper Larry June holds his own next to such an imposing presence. June raps steady and gleeful without too much projection, letting TM88's mechanical, lurching beat star the show. In fact, 88's slick bridging of West Coast bass and Atlanta bounce might be the track's high point.
