Even though the digitization of music allows for easy personal curation, it is nice when an artist doesn't just leave the sorting of their catalog on their perspective listeners. Noel Figuereo—a Charlotte, North Carolina producer based out of New York City for his latest project, Grey EP—doesn't test a listener's limits with dozens of tracks, preferring to keep things to a super brief eight minutes. The icy and industrial beats lack the thump of most rap instrumentals, which means the Grey EP glides smoothly along until you hit replay (and you will). Figuereo found restraint not only in production but also in form for this calming way to start one's week.
