Coke Boy general Chinx delivered the blistering single "Bodies" this fall, enlisting Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel as back up. Young Chop delivers a vintage instrumental that's probably floated around since his breakout days with GBE, complete with the ambient screams and militant march of hi-hats that made Chief Keef's Back From The Dead so explosive. But this is in fact New York affair. Chinx's bullet-riddled bars arrives as fearless as the hook claims, and both GS9 rookies deliver: Bobby hits a double-time flow that recalls mixtape 50, and Rowdy is sounding more and more like A$AP Ferg in the best way possible, a semi-slurred jokester you still don't want to cross. Call it Chicago drill if you must, but the sound and sentiment these fight songs embody are relevant in any city where kids feel it necessary to prove they're never scared.
