Arbiter of Parisian cool and understated basics, A.P.C. is now producing douche bags for men. Described by the brand as "an excellent all-purpose pouch for men," the lamb leather drawstring satchels, emblazoned with the word 'douche,' initially confused the shopping masses who thought that A.P.C. were launching a new bag line called 'Douche, Paris.' A.P.C. label boss and Kanye collaborator, Jean Touitou finds the whole name mix up quite hilarious and, in a press release, likened the misunderstanding to tripping off three pills:
"I find it difficult to write about this, since it's impossible to translate the French expression "mise en abyme" - but that's what it is. So I will simply say this about the "Douche Bag" bag: Product description: an excellent all-purpose pouch, for men. (Women can use it too). The name meaning: those who know don't say, and those who say don't know."

PS: It made me laugh so hard when I found out people really thought we were launching a brand of bags named "Douche, Paris," says Touitou. "Whenever I am depressed, this does like 3 Xanax to me."
