Tel Aviv-based electronic trio Garden City Movement named their new song, "Pont des Arts," after the pedestrian bridge in Paris that everyone hooks padlocks onto as a symbol of undying love. "Last summer part of the parapet literally collapsed due to the weight of the locks," band member Johnny Sharoni explains in a press release. "It's kind of a funny incident if you think about it, but you know, love indeed is a heavy thing." The single was initially debuted live when the band played a Boiler Room-affiliated gig—which makes sense, because the seamy, chopped-up dance track feels ideal for a club, or some other late-night setting where inhibitions are scarce.
