Michael Uzowuru has dusted off the song that started it all for him and his now-frequent collaborator Vic Mensa. Titled "April 13th" to mark the fateful day they first met, it finds Mensa floating his stream of consciousness over warm, lightly touched production laced with airy brasswork by Donnie Trumpet. (If the latter's not already on your radar, he'll be featured on Chance the Rapper's Surf, which is meant to be a showcase for the Social Experiment trumpet player and is supposedly out before the year's end.)
