Equal parts new age transcendence, turn-of-the-millenium video game Metal Slug, and capitalist critique, Brooklyn singer/producer Bunny Michael has offered up an awesome new video for "A.F.D. (angel f*cking dream)." The song's produced by Bruno Coviello (formerly of Light Asylum) and is off her Rainbow Licker EP from earlier this year. This video is captivating in the degree to which it is psychedelically engaged, an impression that is only furthered when one reads what Bunny Michaels told FADER about it: "The song is about being in touch with your magic self, that creative powerful beingness that we all possess inside but easily forget about when we are living in a commercial culture that has told us since we were children that we need something outside of ourselves to be complete i.e. beauty, money, status," she explains. "It's about 'waking up from the dream of illusion' and remembering who we really are, which is already complete, beautiful and powerful." Check it out above, and be sure to have another listen to the stellar single Bruno C produced for FADER favorite Lafawndah this summer, too.
