Dev Hynes Is Working With Carly Rae Jepsen

Hynes and producer Ariel Rechtstaid hit the studio with “Call Me Maybe” singer.

Remember 2012? That was the halcyon year that Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" could be heard high and low, and we were all the better for it. CRJ's been sorta quiet since that year's LP This Kiss, so it's not surprising that she's been in the lab cooking up that new new—but it is a little surprising that two people she's working with are Blood Orange's Dev Hynes and songwriter/producer extraordinaire Ariel Rechtshaid:

Suffice to say, we're excited to see what could come of this collaboration—when it's ready to be heard, Carly should call us, maybe. (I'm so, so sorry.)
