Maxmillion Dunbar Gets Harsh On Dolo Percussion’s “Dolo 7”

Max D delivers some spin-cycle techno on his latest EP.

January 20, 2015

Washington, D.C. producer Andrew Field-Pickering's a slippery one—his proper debut LP as Maxmillion Dunbar, 2013's House of Woo, featured some high-end melodic goodness along with some wonky head-fuck stuff. His latest release under the Dolo Percussion moniker leans towards the latter, as heard on this smashing breakbeat cut "Dolo 7." The tune sounds a bit like a few drum breaks run through a washing machine, with hissing rhythms rubbing against each other and tumbling over and over like an endless body-moving spin cycle. The EP drops today via the always reliable D.C. imprint Future Times.
