Today, PC Music breakout GFOTY dropped an 11-minute mix of arcade-pop called Cake. It's as anxious as her usual stuff, with split-second shifts in tempo and tone: potentially downcast moments are regularly interrupted by buzzy synths and Auto-Tuned giggles. At one point, she sing-speaks over a music-box melody and it sounds like some deranged cheerleader chant: G-F-O-T-Y/ I wanna get your body close to mine. The cover of Blink-182's "All The Small Things" at the end might be the best part, though: It's actually a slowed-down moment for her, and the famous Na Na Na-Nas sound emo (and a little creepy) over a muddy bass line.
