Drake Starred In A Short Film In 2008 And It Is Out Of Control

“Us & Them” is so bad it’s sooo good.

Long before Drake's befuddling short film "Jungle," with its custom Canada Goose jackets and impeccable production quality, there was just Aubrey, his former best friend Mazin Elsadig, and a young OB O'Brien. It was 2008—So Far Gone was a year away, and Jimmy was still on Degrassi—when the three starred in a hilariously bad 14-minute short called "Us & Them," complete with Lil Boosie ringtones, the "Crank That" dance, and cameos from Uncle Steve, Drake's grandma, and the now-famous Acura. The production company behind "Us & Them," By Any Means Necessary, went on to do the music videos for "Marvin's Room," "Headlines" and "Motto," but this might be their most special work, simply for bringing us this:

A trailer, embedded below, suggests that "Us & Them" was a pilot for a TV show—Entourage meets Trailer Park Boys? The inclusion of Drake's "Overdose on Life" on the soundtrack suggests his music career took off before that could become a reality. Pity.
