Marin is a young singer from London who has a voice that curls and cracks like smoking coals. On this cheeky but pretty special bootleg, her jazz inflections dance across the deep waters of Zomby's "Witch Hunt" from his 2011 album, Dedication, and beg the question: when are they getting in the studio together? "I've been a fan of Zomby's music since a friend introduced me to it a while ago," Marin told The FADER. "I was listening to this particular track and started humming along, then turned the jibberish into some lyrics and recorded it pretty much in one take. I'll often find that top-line ideas come to me when I listen to instrumental music—I guess it just works sometimes."
