Last summer's anarchic anthem "U Guessed" may have struck like a one-hit wonder, but in the time since OG Maco has proven himself to be a versatile and highly productive rapper. To wit: the latest from the Quality Control rapper is a brief but lyrically dense freestyle called "5 A.M. in LA.," cribbing from Drake's blueprint. Over a breezy beat by Boi-1da affiliate Sven Thomas, he raps: Five in the mornin' in L.A., and I just made it major/Thank the savior, thank the haters, you can thank me later. Maco's debut album coming soon.
