Eluvium's Matthew Cooper and Explosions in the Sky's Mark T. Smith Make beautiful music as Inventions, so it makes perfect sense for A Winged Victory For the Sullen, the project of Dustin O'Halloran and Stars of the Lid's Adam Wiltzie, to lay hands on a cut from Inventions' latest album, Maze of Woods. They turn "Slow Breathing Circuit" into an exquisite gossamer six-minute sigh, perfect stuff for when you need a moment to zone out and engage in some quiet contemplation.

"Mark and I have been fans of Dustin and Adam's work for a while, in all various musical forms they choose to take," Cooper told FADER in an email. "Although AWVFTS isn't perhaps the first name to come to mind for remixes, we were quite sure they were ready and able minded gentlemen, with magnificent prowess that would surely be up to turning in something unique and of their own… if they were so willing to have us. Indeed they were, and we are honored, humbled, and thoroughly pleased with the results. Thank you, Dustin and Adam."
