Mick Jenkins And The O’My’s Find Some “Peace Of Mind”

The Chicago artists come together to great result.

Today the charged (and too often overlooked) rapper Mick Jenkins and the funk-tinged band the O'My's—both out of Chicago—come together to drop off a new track called "Peace of Mind," also featuring Jayin and production help from Carter Lang. According to Mick, the song came together casually: "I recorded this a while ago," he tells The FADER. "On a random day I went over The O'My's and made this hot shit with them." But it's much tighter than just a tossed-off jam—the O'My's mournful orchestration is tight, Mick's verses are sharp as ever. It's also kind of giving me "Love It Or Hate It" vibes? Listen below, it's real nice.
