Update, 6/2/2015, 4:40 PM: TMZ reports that Jimmy Carlton Winfrey turned himself into the police today in Georgia. He faces a number of charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity.

At the end of April, shots were fired at Lil Wayne’s tour bus in Atlanta. TMZ now reports that Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, who has worked as Young Thug's road manager in the past, is the primary suspect in the shooting. Thug and Wayne have been embroiled in a public dispute for several months, throwing insults back and forth over social media, but according to TMZ, the police believe that Winfrey’s activities were gang-related: “committing a high profile shooting of a rival rap artist” would prove his value to the Bloods. Complex tracked down an Instagram photo of Winfrey with Thug and Birdman.
