The first annual Teens in the Park festival, a free event taking place at Northerly Island on June 24th, is being curated by none other than Chance the Rapper. The event, which will take place from 4 - 7pm, will include performances from Surf mastermind Donnie Trumpet, Chicago bop poster boy DLow and more, as chosen by Chance. There will also be an array of activity tents hosted by organizations such as The Art Institute and Donda's House—the arts-supporting non-profit founded in memory of Kanye West's mother—offering opportunities to try out graffiti art, breakdancing, jewelry making and fashion design.
Hosting free creative events for teens seems to be becoming a regular habit of Chance's, since he also organized an open mic for high school students back in February.
If you're in Chicago and aged between 13 - 24 (or you're an adult who's chaperoning a teenager), you can register to attend Teens in the Park here.
