Devlin And Skepta Stroll Through East London In This Video For “50 Grand”

The two grime MCs keep it 💯.

June 12, 2015

Back in March, Devlin teamed up with Skepta for a level-headed track called "50 Grand," on which the two grime spitters unite North and East London, swapping verses about the come-up and what it really means to be rich. Today, they dropped a gorgeous 4K-shot video to go along with the single; in it, three boys spot a roadman flashing his jewelry and proceed to chase him through Dagenham for it. The simple video sums up the genre's ethos: lay low, keep it 💯, stay connected to the streets you came from. Skepta shows up at the end to deliver an austere take on life and his career: I ain't sayin I don't wanna make money, but right now I'm tryna do the right things with it.
