Shut Up And Watch Jaakko Eino Kalevi’s New Video

The Finnish singer-songwriter pays tribute to wordless, telepathic love.

Jaakko Eino Kalevi is a man of few words. On the Finnish singer-songwriter's new single "Double Talk," taken from his self-titled album out now on Weird World, he's describing his perfect relationship: one in which he and his partner are so in tune that they basically don't need to talk to each other. So it's unsurprising that in his email to The FADER explaining how he brought this concept to life in video form, Jaakko simply had this to say: "The original idea for the video was me performing in a white loft in front of an audience. But this wasn't enough, so we added some melting magma. So now there are double parts for 'Double Talk'—the melting magma and me performing." He's right. That's what it is, and it's up there in the Youtube player. Less talk, more watching.
