Having earned his chops behind-the-scenes—writing and producing for the likes of Mary J. Blige, John Legend, and Disclosure, to name just a few—UK singer/songwriter and FADER FORT alum Romans will make his artist debut on Roc Nation this year. He has divided the project into two acts, the first of which, Overthinking Part 1, features a quartet of soul-inflected pop songs—and you can hear them here first on The FADER.
"The four songs in Part 1 are the first four I wrote for this album," Romans wrote in an email to The FADER. "I feel like my album as a whole is a good soundtrack to the journey I've been on in the past two years, and the music I made for it changed along with my situation. That's why I think it's best presented chronologically." Overthinking Part 1 is officially out July 10; Part 2 will follow this fall.
