Apple Could Set Up More Radio Stations

The company’s deal with labels made room for six stations in total.

Apple has the potential to expand its radio footprint: According to The Verge, when the company negotiated the deal with labels that allowed it set up Beats 1 radio, it actually obtained licenses for as many as five more stations. The Verge also reports that Apple pays labels more per radio play than Pandora, a competing internet radio platform.
