On September 18th, Danish four-piece Yung will release a new EP called These Thoughts Are Like Mandatory Chores... on Fat Possum/Tough Love. Today, we're premiering "Blue Uniforms," a song that starts off as fairly straightforward dreamy punk track, before revealing itself to be a weirder entity entirely: six-plus minutes of blurred instrumentals and tripped-out momentum. It never feels too chaotic, though; there's a buried brightness that runs through the song, like a little bit of yellow light coming through the crack of a door. "The blue uniforms caught my sight," frontman Yung Shord explains in a cryptic email to The FADER. "You might call it a momentary loss of confidence. The lights moved further away and they eventually faded away in a vast open space."
