Quiet Your Mind With Wales’ “Falling”
“It’s about the feeling of losing time and letting go of yourself as a way to slow it down.”
September 09, 2015
"Falling," the second-ever release from Wales—the project of composer and film director Samuel Aaron Bennett—is the perfect salve for your post-Labor Day blues. It's a gentle wash of piano, pitter pater, and static that was co-produced by Gianluca Buccellati (Tei Shi, Yellerkin). Bennett described "Falling" to The FADER as being "about the feeling of losing time and letting go of yourself as a way to slow it down." And indeed, it feels like a song you could perhaps disappear into. So listen loud, and pretend the sun will stay high and the days long forever.
