Try To Keep Up With U.K. Producer Glacci On New Track “Gold Claw”

It sets the tone for his latest EP on Nightwave’s Heka Trax label.

Nottingham, U.K.'s Glacci has had a good 2015. The artist formerly known as Kyle Cook started his year by making grime-influenced instrumentals on an EP called Tropic Freeze, and is ending the summer with another release called Ember on Nightwave's Heka Trax label that maintains his forward momentum.

"Gold Claw," which features 18-year-old Norwegian producer Hasta, is one of four tracks that play with convention and innovation on the release. It's cool and confident, but not too serious to have fun. "The track originally started out as something more 'club' influenced and the cowbell sound was kinda funny to me at the time," Glacci told The FADER. The cowbell does make itself known, but its the ethereal, wandering synths that stick with you for longer. Ember is out now on Heka Trax.
