WeDidIt Announce New Imprint With Divine Council’s “The Fine Household”

Tombstone Recordings will house side-singles from friends of the L.A. label.

When Los Angeles beat crew WeDidIt started releasing electronic EPs in high school, they'd make little runs of tees, stickers and knickknacks that label fans could collect along with MP3s. That eye for DIY is now informing Tombstone Recordings, the imprint on which founder Nick Melons will drop releases from extended WeDidIt friends and family.

"We are constantly finding folks making music that we want to work with from outside the crew and this imprint is our vessel to do that," Melons told The FADER. "Tombstone Recordings will release free singles and EPs paired with a custom patch that people can collect, which is something we did when we initially launched WeDidIt with the RL Grime and Hemsworth EPs back in the day."

Tombstone's first release, "The Fine Household," is nuts enough to the set the tone: Richmond, Virginia's $ilkMoney, Cyrax and Lord Linco exhale raps over a screwy Shlohmo knocker. "I found these kids online a couple months ago and ever since we been on the phone grinding," Melons says. "They have a real vision for what they do and got the same independent attitude we have at WeDidIt, it was only natural for us to put something together." Watch above and stream below.
