According to The Guardian, the Mexican label/collective NAAFI will soon have a month-long residency on Beats 1 Radio. Other new Beats 1 DJs include Haim, Eric Prydz, Major Lazer and Chance the Rapper. This is apparently part of the service's effort to obey Jimmy Iovine's main tenet: "Don't be boring." "That means don’t be blinded by how good this might look on paper," Zane Lowe explained. "Will it work on air? Will they have interesting things to say? Otherwise, it just turns into a mess and looks like a fancy list and not much else."

For a quick primer on NAAFI, revisit Primata 2, a mixtape of "Latin electronic hits for the dancefloor."
