Seattle's Sango has a gang of styles, but the producer has gained a sticky following for his mastery of Brazilian funk samples throughout his Da Rocinha album series. The third and latest installment drops November 10th, and the first look is true to form: twinkling keys, tropical storm drums, and Brazilian rap acapellas shouted to a rasp. "Da Rocinha 3 is about keeping the the funk roots true and paying homage to the ones that helped start it," Sango tells FADER via email of the Brazilian favela that's remained a source of inspiration. "I want to respect and show Rocinha in a positive light with this record while staying true to my sound."
