Last month, Queens rapper Justin Rose made a splash with "She Movin'," the wavy first single off his upcoming debut mixtape Water White. Today he drops off a second cut from that project: "Speedy Gonzales," a gurgling sippers anthem featuring Awful Records affiliate Playboi Carti.
Rose was first introduced to Carti during sessions for "Peepin," and the rest is history. "As everyone was getting ready to leave the session, I played him the 'Speedy Gonzales' beat with the hook, but no verse on it," he told The FADER. "The next day he hit me up and wanted to record the verse before he left town for a show in Chicago or something. He knocked it out and bounced. And I wrote my verse right after that." Án-da-le, indeed!
