K Camp released his debut album Only Way Is Up earlier this fall—but why stop there? Today, the Atlanta rapper returns with You Welcome, which is the first of three promised mixtapes (KISS 3 and King Slum coming soon).
"This tape is for my fans," he explained to The FADER over email. "I don't like sittin' on music so I'm giving them something to vibe to. And don't ask me why I'm doing everybody beat—maybe 'cause I want too? I'm on my Lil Wayne shit."
In addition to the tape, K. Camp has shared a video for "Room 1102," a deceptively sensuous track that finds him fighting for his due credit. You don't know how much I've done to get where I'm at/ and you don't know how much i've done to stay where i'm at, he warbles through a wash of auto-tune.
