Earlier this year, DonMonique brought Brooklyn back with her Thirst Trap EP, a booming, toothy collection of songs that harkens back to her borough's golden age. "Drown," however, is a hazy and hyper-contemporary sounding zone-out anthem. Accordingly, the video is a lackadaisical affair, featuring best friends, a hang sesh in front of a Taylor Swift Red Tour afghan blanket, and Slurpees (aka the best night). Finessing the plug, finessing the plug!
