There's a lot of well-kept secrets surrounding Ghost, the mostly anonymous Swedish metal band. The group is fronted by a headdress and corpse paint-wearing singer called Papa Emeritus, whose wavy vocals swim around overcast instrumentals made by five "nameless ghouls." The results are some evil, and occasionally warm, rock 'n' roll hymns. For the latest installment of The FADER's Everything You Need To Know series, we sat down with one of those aforementioned ghouls to try and tease out some facts about the notoriously cryptic band. Wearing his signature horned, shiny, mouth-less mask, he let us into their world. Well—sort of. You'll just have to see for yourself. Ghost's newest album, Meliora, is out now.
